**** craig lists scammers.

Sometimes they don't even want the item. They send you a rediculously large amount of money for something not worth as much and tell you they don't have a bank to cash the check so they want you to cash it and send them back the rest of the money and let you keep some of it.

ya thats just dumb as hell how people fall for that. right when i got the first email and it said interested in your "item" i knew it was BS i just had that feeling.

I recently had some douche trying to scam me on a car.. at first I thought it was a legit local deal.. then I'm told that the person lives 3000km's away and will have the car delivered.. wanted me to send a money order for $3500 for a car that was probably worth 2x that, and tried to make it sound like the deal was somehow through ebay and was covered through their buyer protection.. blah blah blah... I knew right away it was a scam but exchanged 20+ emails over several days asking stupid questions just to **** with them...

I think next time I get an email like the OP I'm going to go along with it and when the delivery truck comes for thier package I'll send them 50lbs or bricks.. or perhaps a bomb... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

ya if i had time to fk with them i would of but, i did not want to actually give them my adress. i was thinking of giving them the police stations address.

check out 419eater.com for scambaiting tips I like to tell them i dont have enough cash for shipping right away and cant wait for the check to clear because I am moving and need just enough in cash to cover shipping. It has worked a couple times. then wipe your *** with the check and send it back.

I don't see how it can be a scam. He says for one that you can wait until payment clears. And then it says that someone gets sent in person to pick up the item.
You'd think if it was a scam, it would say something like "as soon as you get the check, mail the item", etc.

nub, once the check clears, it will take a few days for it to bounce since it was a fake. then you get fuxed in the *** and you have no money and no item.

Are they not local? I always ask people to meet me at the local police station to exchange the goods and cash. Sadly, I've never been able to buy anything from Craigslist. LOL
