Couple of Questions for Box Build

I am building a box so that I can fit two Sundown SA12's or two Alpine Type R 12's under the seat of my 2000 Silverado ext. cab. I will post an attachment of the dimensions I am working with. The only difference in my box will be that the subs will be down-firing. I can add up to 2.5" seat spacers if necessary to accommodate air space.

Here are the specifications for the subs:

Alpine Type R 12

Minimum ported - 1.0 cu ft.

Maximum ported - 2.0 cu ft.

Mounting depth - 6 3/8"

Sundown SA12

Minimum ported - 1.5 cu ft.

Maximum ported - 2.0 cu ft.

Mounting depth - 6 1/2"

Questions..

How far should my cone be off of the floor?

What should the dimensions be of my port?

What thickness of MDF should I use?

Should my mounting surface have any thicker MDF than the rest of the box?
