first i have a 1998 Chevy Tahoe 4dr.

Back Door on driver side wont open..it locks and unlocks and handles work but it wont open. I think the child protection might have jammed. anybody know how to fix it or how much it would cost?

Also, when i hit the breaks my wheel shakes..somebody said its the ROTORS..anybody know how much something like that costs?

call the dealership and ask how much they would charge to fix the door...

and it probably is the rotors, mine did that....go to an autoparts store and buy new rotors, and if you can, put them on yourself...if not, you are going to have to pay someone for that too...

when i bought new rotors they werent that expensive but i put them on myself to save some money...

the door problem may be the door latch broke...no clue on how much to fix, and it sounds like the rotors on your braking problem....just go to the chevy dealership n let them look at it

that model truck had very small rotors and they were very prone to warpage

I owned a 98 and the brakes were always inadiquit...

New rotors are your fix,I reccoemend SSBC rotor and pad kit

Thanks.

Im getting new tires put on next week, so should i just wait til then to get the brake problem fixed?

I would put them on myself, but i have no knowledge on car maintenance what so ever.

Get your rotors turned/machined- that should eliminate the braking vibration- you also may need the rear rotors/drums turned- but do the front ones first and see. If your front brake pads are over 50% then there is no need to replace them. There is no reason to replace the rotors either, not when you can just get them machined.

- Door problem- sounds like your latch is busted- that sucks.

had the same door problem happenen in my heep and it was that child lock thing...somehow it got engaged...what i did was open the door pannels*as far as you can,if you can*slide your hand up in there and should be right underneith the latch.it should be attached to some sort of small shaft.and just push that lil tab/lock down..and presto...least that what i had to do...also while you`re in there.. might as well replaces the lil rubber boots that are attached to your door handles*that was another problem with my rear driverside door*
