Couple Aero Port Questions

I'm designing a box for 2 12" Type R's. I plan on doing subs up and port up. For SPL, should the aeros go on the driver or passenger side? Also should i go with 2 4", 3 4", or 2 6" aeros? Thanks for any input.

One more question. PSP says to keep the ports at least 1 diameter from any inside walls. Will it affect sound or anything if I'm not able to keep it 6 inches away?
