Could My Kodas Use More Power..?

So I picked up the 6.1 setup awhile ago and I know they are rated at 1oowts. I scored a good deal on an Orion 2002 (50wts) and have had them hooked up to that. Now, I have my gains set at about 45%. I notice though, when I turn up the volume quite a bit, the mids will start to bottom out. I would like it to be louder, if possible. If I were to purchase a higher power amp, would I notice a difference, or will I still have this problem?

Just out of curiousity, why am I bottoming out with such low gain on such a small amp?

ib + clipped signal = horrible sound. you can make it bottom out using your HU if you try

I do have some gapage at the bottom. I never really even thought of that. Scientifically, how does this affect my mids? Canelation causing the noise?

Umm..so..to clear up confusion..

The Mids arn't flush-mounted. What affect does this have..?

Will I have my gains turn down severly with a larger amp..?

Bad Example: Since my gain is at 45% with the 50wts, would a 100wt amp mean gain at 20%..? Thus making it worth the $$$ to buy.

the woofers need a more constant pressure to the air around to driver front and back. if air the same air moves from front to back you have what i call a negitive air suspension meaning it will handle far less power. even in a "free air application you must seperate the air between the front and back of the speaker.
