could i new headunit make your system sound better or make your bass better

im using right now this kenwood hu i got at best buy for $100 and my friend has this alpine hu he said he will trade me he said he paid 300 for it and has some kind of bass motor or somthing built in will it make my system better just buy changing the hu and it has noise reduction or some stuff like that

its called bass engine...i never liked how kenwoods sounded,an alpine or even a pioneer,TO ME,would sound better than your kenwood,plus you got a bottom of the line headunit.

dude they are messing with you. jerks aroud these parts. yes the quality of your deck is basically why or why not your system sounds good. yes speakers have a part in that too but not even the best of speakers will sound good on a pos deck/amp

I'm GUESSING the lower-end Kenwood would be 2v pre's and the Alpine would be 4v pre's.

Alpine may also have more features.

Model numbers would help.
