my gf's dad was involved in a high speed chase....
his tires were spike stripped out...

he was tazared...

it hurt...

he went to jail...

let him out months later on account PTSD, which caused him to flip out and run (joined the army when he was 15 to get away from an abusive grandmother, who only took care of him because his parents abandoned him. seeing veitnam doesnt help much either)...

Whats wrong, cop give you a ticket when you "didn't deserve it" and now they are not to be trusted. Funny how a very few number of cops can ruin all cops reputation, but if I were to say the same about a minority everyone would be crying about racism.

True. But it is unnecessary. And the cops aren't all innocent. And they know it. And Internal Affairs knows it. We don't need to invoke all the cases of deaths of unarmed people, do we?

Imagine if you had to deal with with people who hate you all day, everyday. My dad works for the county sheriff (corrections office). I have for most of my life debated going into law enforcement. The MAIN reason I'm not pursuing that carrier now is b/c I don't want to deal with the people. Being a cop is not an easy job, being hated by must of the population does not make it easier. Give them some slack, they are human just like me and you. They make mistakes and have bad days just like everyone of us.

from what ive seen people on tv get tazed it doesnt matter when you get tazed or how it messes you up.....point being they all know how bad it feels so to say they are going willy nilly tazing people cause they dont know they hurt is just a weak argument.....
i do feel its getting out of hand, hell i saw on the news a couple months ago a cop tazed a women while she was in the back of the police cruiser hand cuffed......thats insane....

Thats exactly what I was talking about. the first cop walked her like a dog until she bumped her head on teh bumper of the truck. Shocking her the whole time.

Not in this case though. Other situations were physical harm is done, is a different story. I would side with the bulk of the people in this thread if injury occurred in the situation. Again, if they had shot him with live ammo I would not defend them so easily, but they used non-lethal weapons. That chose kept both the suspect from injury and themselves from injury. Instances like this is why law enforcement has non-lethal weaponry.

obviously i dont know you well enough to say that with 1000% certainty. but i really, highly, and i mean highly doubt you wouldnt try suing them in this scenario.

1) the guy came out of the shower, probably looking like he just came out of his moms ******, all wet and shit. i doubt he looked in the least bit intimidating.

2) the guy was deaf and was yelling that he was deaf and was pointing to his ear

if the guy had cloths on, was being difficult (ie, cursing, taunting etc), then i could see the use of a tazer. this is just ridiculous though.

yeah that was like 2 hours east of me in warren ohio.....the video was a little comical the 10th time i saw it lol pathetic but comical..... she was just a beligerant white trash drunk woman.....totally controllable and just cause she mouthed off that fat piece of shit cop tased her a couple times......but the time he actually tased her in the back of the car just cause she was yelling and screaming was terrible/hysterical all at the same time! all caught on the officers camera...
