Getting ticketed sucks. But the guys here are right. They are just doing their jobs. I have gotten two tickets. 74.50 each.
But it all comes down to not being a douche. So why were you bumping that early in the morning. Cmon, thats practically begging for a ticket.
At least the two I got were during the day.

You make a good point. But I think also this kind of noise now needs to be kept out of residential areas. There are so many people with boom cars that it is not just one loud asskickin macho racket per day or something, but consists of frequent interruptions, more than one per hour. Those of use who need quiet for our daily lives (My job involves a lot of listening, for example) cannot function with roaring and pounding race car sounds outside our homes continually. The bass noise travels hundreds of yards. It's very invasive. I get buzzing in my ears from it. This is audio ****. You guys need some place of your own to do this stuff and keep it out of my home.
It is one thing if you are passing through but again it should be common sense to be courteous. If you are on the highway its a whole different story. Crank it as much as you want. When you are in a residential area be respectful and keep it down. If I have my music loud I turn it down at every traffic light or stop sign. Mainly because I know that not everyone is into big loud stereos or the music I listen to. It just comes down to respect. If you want respect you better give it. We dont get much respect for our car audio hobbies because little assholes are going around blasting their systems at 12:30 in the morning thinking its cool. It's no surprise that all these ordinances are being implemented.

i really think the noise laws should only be in effect during certain times. Also, if i was a cop and there was a kid next to me bumping like the beatles or something that doesn't say **** and ***** every three seconds, i most likely wouldn't ticket them. I guess thats not fair to people that like rap but i mean it's disrespectful for have your windows down bumping eminem while theres an old couple right next to you. I mean come on, what if that was your grandparents? You wouldn't want some shithead doing that to them would you?

Whether its the beatles, eminem or tchaikovsky it doesnt matter. Someone will find it offensive no matter what. Some people find loud music in general offensive. Doesnt even need to have a ton of bass. I get annoyed when I hear bass thumping at night when I or my son are trying to sleep.

yea thats true..... i just think MORE people will be offended by rap than other music. (not that i don't listen to rap.)
