cops...party...weed

Hey guys,

i dont post much in the lounge, but last night i was at a party and had a couple questions for you guys, im gonna tell the whole story so theres no questions about what happened...

Alright, first off its a split level house...most of the parying was being done upstairs cause they has music and beer pong and the beer up there...I was downstairs with one other kid...I had brought my bonbg and some weed over, I was downstairs smoking all night id say about 50% of the kids there had smoked...but anyway we had jsut finsihed off a bowlpack when i heard someone yell cops, So i his the bong, lighter, rolling papers, and all the weed i had on me...stupidly i hid in a closet and hte other kid disapered into the laundry room...i had gone into the furnace room and it was packed with shit, so literally jsut enough stuff to open the door and hide behind it...So i waited about like two minutes and i heard everyone upstairs laughing, so i thought the cops were like a joke or something...

Needless to say one of the cops there was someones cousin or something. But im still in the closet, i heard someone walking downstairs and then all of a sudden the door opened but i was leaning against it and it closed, so the cop really put some force on it and knocked me backwards, then proceeded to grab me by the shirt and rip me out of the closet, searched me and found i had nothing on me, then he found the other kid, searched him and found nothing. It reeked like weed and I had a bob marley shirt on...So we go upstairs and everyones laughing with the other cop and he goes, theres always two assholes...

So i go to the other side of the room and the cop starts to talk to us about how this is the second time hes been here and blah blah blah...He takes down the name of the kids house we were at and goes "now weres that ****ing stoner?" and looks at me...im like wtf dude? so hes come over and takes down all my information...so im thinking alright hes gonna run my name or something i have no arrests or anyhting.

So, then they ask if anyone is 21, no one is....So there like take all the beer and put it in the back of my cruiser, So they took all the beer i dont know what with it, but in any case what im trying to get accross is, can they do anything with my name, and why did they take only my name and the kid who was having the party, they didnt know it was my weed or my bong, and they didnt find either of them, granted i reeked like pot but so did about 50% of the party, idk kinda weird, i havent gotten any phone calls from the police yet nor any summons so i should be straight but still why did they take my name?

if they were gonna get you for possession they would have arrested you already, if they were gonna get you for being under the influence you would have to have been in public. you are fine.

they were probably just going to run your name and info to see if you had anything they could nail you for. they probably figured that if you were hiding that you might have had a record or a reason to hide. pretty safe assumption, and they wanted to make sure you didn't have any warrants or whatever.

if they didn't find any paraphenalia or drugs, then i'm pretty sure they can't do anything to you

Probably just making sure you had no warrants out for your arrest. Nothing to worry about, but quit the smoking... looks as if it's affecting your judgment and your grammar.

they took your name so they could send it to the prosecutor and you will soon be arrested.
