copper clad aluminum wire

I'm looking to upgrade my power/ground and speaker wires in preperation for new subs.

Copper is freakin expensive.

I need 1/0g for P/G and 8g for the subs.

The P/G will receive a practical maximum of 150A. Musically, I can't see more than 130-140A being pulled. The speaker wire should be able to handle around 30-40A.

Will CCA do the trick? Normally I'm against the use of CCA, but if it works.......why not?

Will it work for me with the parameters I have set?

What are some issues I may face with CCA? Will the copper rub off, etc?

CCA just has lower amp ratings for the same size.

i say run copper 4awg and call it a day.

KNU CCA is fine and reasonably priced. I've used in it several installs with no issues...

Audio Technix has really good CCA 0ga wire! Might wanna check them out! I think they had/have a sale going on for CCA 0ga kits for like $40 shipped...it's in there sub-forum.

I have knu cca on my saz1500v.3, i have had no trouble at all got it from knu at 1.95 p/f. Very flexable i beleive a little over sized.

I'm still growing a beard waiting on my Audio technix big 3 kit. Ordered knu and was here in 2 days no BS. My knu CCA (power/ground)does work no problems and the ofc speaker cables are aesthetic and create no impedance issues.
