cop brutality

Bad cop...no donut. A total lack of professionalism on the cop's part in handling the most minor of issues, illegal skateboarding. The only lesson the kid learned was that cops are pigs and if one expects things to be any better in Baltimore or other major cities, that is not the kind of lesson that should be taught. Laws work when they are respected and those upholding it are respected for their professionalism.

lol, most people are arguing about the actual choke hold
meh...all he did was push the kid down it lasted like 2 seconds dont be a ****ing baby. I do not stand for police brutality and i actually hate using force. BUT people need to learn what physical compliance techniques are.

they are not light and sassy shit you physically MAKE a person do what you want them todo. the kid did not sit down , and refused the officers command the officer MADE him sit.

i seen a few other options the officer could have done..yes...but they all would have ended up with the same OMG BRUTALITY because they do not look pretty, they hurt...yes because that is the ****ing point of them.

If you dont listen that is what happens. people need to quit being little babies.

in all honesty, the law is the law, correct. if there were signs posted or they were told previously not to skate there, the cop can legally take the skateboards, but not the way it was done there. that is just unacceptable and virtually unexplainable on his behalf. he does not show the kid resisting giving the skateboard, it shows the officer choking the kid, throwing him down, and taking the skateboard, THEN telling him to sit down.

and in ALL honesty, i hate it when cops are in the wrong and then tell people who have it on film to turn the camera off, that is just inciminating and pointless at that time.

cops are stupid and abuse there power, end of story. It's happened before, it's happened here, and it will happen again.

Cops arn't here to be your buddies and do anything useful. There here to bust you for stupid ****, get bonuses, and abuse there power.

I know someone is going to say, "well we'll see what you say when you get mugged and need them, etc."

FYI i had a hit and run, and was treated like a freakin murder suspect. I was the one hit btw. So i have no use for cops nor will i ever.

Yea but youll want protection from the law when your *** is in danger correct?

Stfu with your arrogance.

Those were the days I skateboard and when your 14 you can get away with anything. When

I skate now I stay away from places like that cause being 19 they will lock you up in 2 seconds

If the kid didn't listen to him he should have arrested him.

I actually think that is a law, non-compliance or something like that. Too much Tort Law and International Criminal Law has crowded out a lot of the domestic laws. However, he did not arrest the kid, he assaulted the kid. The assault is the issue.

The issue isn't that the kid is a smart ***, or a jerk, or whatever you want to call it. The issue is that an adult, a police officer none the less, body slammed a child after choking him. If that isn't use of unnecessary force than I don't know what is.

If he was arresting the kid and the kid socked him in the nose I would say the officer did nothing wrong. However, as far as I could tell from the video the kids were of no threat to the officer and the officer was simply trying to question them, if you wanted to put it like that but lecture fits the bill better. The kids weren't read their rights, the kids weren't going to be arrested (most likely), they were just getting a lecture from Super Cop. So his physical actions are no different than if joe smo came up and choked and used force against them.

What is especially disturbing is the officers face. That man SERIOUSLY needs some anger management and should be carrying a weapon of any type. He could have just of easily took his gun out and shot the kids. Now wouldn't that have made for a hell of a headline?!?!?!?

He didn't choke, nor did he body slam anyone. Grabbing someone by the neck isn't choking them. Taking someone to the ground who isn't complying with the law isn't body slamming either...talk about an exaggeration.
