An eyewitness news 4 photographer is cuffed and cited today for disobeying a police officer. It was one of those situations where the photographer was just trying to do his job... and APD would probably argue---so was the cop.

Tonight the Albuquerque police chief is reviewing the tape you're about to see ... to see if the officer crossed the line. This is the unedited videotape.

3:30 am.

Start--- APD says a driver and officers had exchanged gunfire at Copper and Rhode Island. Our photographer approached these two police cars at Copper and Grove...believing the suspect was already in custody... and was told he had to go to a media staging area... but claims the officers wouldn't tell him where that was... so he just moved back. That will be some BS if they bring charges on the cameraman. He was attacked by that cop. Nothing in that video would suggest that the cameraman caused any problems, or that he needed to be arrested. Just another case of police brutality at it's finest (or worst, as it was.)

Hopefully, a judge/jury will see that footage and make the right call.

cop came back and confirmed where the staging area was, the dude starts yelling at him like he is stupid. as a human i would have kicked his *** based on those principals alone.
