Hey guys I got a flatlyne 12" powered by a alpine m1000 all in the trunk, anyways this amp gets hoooooooot!!!! Scorching hot sometimes, it is begining to become more of a problem now in the summer. It will cut out bass at high volume as well as cut it down to half power it sounds like. Is there anyways to combat this?

Thanks

i bet you have it beyond it's limits. example: running a 2ohm stable amp at 1 ohm. shits gonna be cookin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

O guage wiring to a dist block then 4 guage for like 2ft to amp, grounded with 4 guage as well, biggest wire thatll fit in the amps holes. sub is dual 4 ohm wired to 2, electrical would be the only thing im worried about, no big 3 yet and only an 80amp stock alt

i'm guessing that's the problem or atleast do a 0 gauge ground for your battery.

No bass boost on lpf set at like 75-80 gain knob about halfway up seems like it has a little play tho, amp can barely fit in 4guage to the grounding point as with power wire.
