there is another thread about this that you should check out.yes it takes off. jet engines apply thrust to the air, not the ground. it's all independent of wheel speed. as the plane accelerates, so do the wheels and the treadmill. the wheels go 2x as fast as normal due to the reverse motion of the treadmill but hte plane continues ahead at normal speed. it's the wheels job to keep up with the plane and the treadmill not the other way around.
