convertible comps

hey i got the pg xenons and they are "convertible" comps so i can screw the tweeter into the center of the spkr or take it out and mount it away from it. so what ive gathered is closer to the spkr the better sounding it will be, right? so would it just make sense to keep the tweeter on the spkr and save time/trouble with mounting the tweeter elsewhere? thanks

That would work! The xenons sound good in the coax form. Go for it.

hey thanks, so It would sound just as good as mounting the tweeter elsewhere? also, if you or anyone has ownd these how many watts rms do you suggest to make them sound solid? they handle 150 rms a piece and I was planning on about half that from a pg octane amp. enough? thanks

FYI: those "convertible" components are called "braxials"

i don't know. maybe they have brackets where they secure the tweeter, hence the name braxial. I totally made that up though.

ha, sounds good to me. maybe cuz the tweet is like a bra to put on the thing, but then again its more like a screw on nippy
