constant buzz ONLY when car is running

I just bought an old volvo, and it came with 4 aftermarket speakers (infinity) and a kenwood head unit. Whenever the car is running, there is a constant buzz in every speaker; it doesnt vary in volume or tone even when accelerating, and stops as soon as the engine is cut (it sounds clear when run from the battery alone).

I dont have any real experience with car stereos beyond plugging in components, where should I start with troubleshooting this?

I would re-ground the head unit to a bolt behind the dash somewhere.

Try and find a spot thats on the body of the car, if you have to sand off the paint and drill a hole.
