Constant 12V source???

a fuse. the wiring to the cigg lighter should be around 12ga, which should handle 15a of current.

I'd be extremely surprised if the cig. wire is that large. I've never seen 12g wire for a cigarette lighter ever.

A good 12 volt source inside of the car would be @ the ignition harness...
