Considering SQ are 15" subs a bad idea?

i was planning to get two 12" elemental designs kv.2 subs but since the 15" is only $10 more a sub I figured the 15's would be good a idea for more sound output as long as sq wasnt sacrificed much. What do you all think woud two 15's be noticebly less responsive compared to the 12's

that is pure myth. you won't sacrafice sq going with a 15

the size of the woofer does not dictate performance at all.

on a personal note, i would suggest (strongly) considering a different manufacturer than Ed. just a personal oppinion though

the ED thing is a personal preference.....although there is better out there for SQ and SPL...be on the look out looks like there is going to be a group buy soon....

What kind of music do you listen too? The enclosure is going to play a significant role in the equation also...

whats the group buy going to be for?

and i usually listen to about rap but i also listen to classic rock and some country.

the reason i was considering eD is because i have heard some 10's a friend has and i also need an amp and thier amps seem to be good for the money, you get a warranty, and 15% off when buying subs and amp

infinte baffle and free air are two totally different things.

i prefer 15's in large enclosures.. seem to get a bit deeper... soung quality is the same as any other driver

With IB you seperate the rear from the front waves. Free air is just that, no mounting/seperation.

Subs should not sound like "poo" free air. And a IB install is normally a better choice when looking for a better SQ install.

Sorta off topic...but can I fit 2 15's in a extended cab truck? Without riding the steering wheel?
