Connection of illumination and dimmer wires?

I have a Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD receiver. The power cable that came with the unit has one orange/white illumination wire. The connector I bought for my 2001 Honda Accord has an orange illumination wire AND an orange/white dimmer wire. Should I splice all three wires together? Or should I just connect the orange wire from my receiver cable to the orange illumination wire to the Honda cable, and leave the Honda dimmer cable unconnected?

Also, I have a yellow mute cable on the back of my receiver's cables, but have no idea what to connect it to since there is not a corresponding cable on my Honda mount.

iirc the mute is for if you have a phone mounting dock. It'll mute the h/u when you get a call

Connect the orange and white wire to the orange and white wire that's all.
