Confused in Virginia

Hi all, my name is Zack Lloyd, and I have a 1993 Mercedes Benz 300te wagon with a Blaupunkt CD player, and I am having a confusing issue with playing CDs in it....

I am a BSIT:graduate:, and work for Home Depot in the IT department, and although my car has some years on it, and some miles 174,800, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif I appreciate the reality that Mercedes makes engines that can take high mileage, and still run smooth. So, I am happy with my automobile for now, but I live to listen to sounds while driving, and my CD player seems to refuse to play a disk, over and over again??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I know it is because the player is old, like the car, but I am hoping to get some troubleshooting advice here to discontinue this problem....

I am 37 years old, and live with my fiance' Kirstin, on the beach in Willoughby. I am a certified community lifeguard, and LOVE swimming. I played Basketball for Booker T, and for Maury, all through high school, and I play guitar like a champ, having even had a band in college called Blak Lyt. Me and Kirsey //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif, which is what I call her, are getting married in June this year, and will be having our first child sometime around November, or December. I love my job, my girl, and my dog, Zippy, and the only real issue I have in life now is whether I need to replace my deck in the car, or if there is something else that I am missing.

Hopefully, I can get the info I seek on this forum!!

You must be from the burbs? , tmi bro lol , have you taken it to a dealership? If not id swap it out for an aftermarket if you dont wanna do that they make a piece that will tap into your h/u wires to add on an aux to plug to your phone i believe iirc , google is your friend in this situation

Oh and welcome to the forum good luck with your issue

I had a 95 BMW CD system that started getting funky! It was all Blaupunkt too. The best thing I did was replace it all. The speaker cones crumbled in my hands when I removed them and the wires were brittle. After that many years all of the audio could use updating. I ditched the CD's for the ability to use a thumb drive, Bluetooth, and iPod for my music. Best thing I ever did to that BMW. Germany builds a hell of a car, but not even Blau is going to be tip-top after 21 years dude. I would go new from head unit to speakers.
