Confused about RE calculator

i think i know what it is.. the port is measured down the center, not along your port wall edge, thats why it looks weird on that calculator
how would that change the port length?

dimensions are

48w x 19h x 24d

port width: 7"

Port length 2: 0"

red mark is how the port length of wood is measured, you have to calculate the whole line for the total actual port length

so even though the red mark is X long, thats not the whole length of the actual port

 
yes, correct, but the pic threw me off. it looked like 2 ports, side by side.

Anyway, on the calc, it should just give the total lenght. Why ist 27? idk.
