Computer won't detect blank cds

So my computer wont' detect black cds when I put them in the drive. It detects games and dvds and everything else, but not black cds. I'm trying to burn some cds but it says there is no cd in the drive. Any ideas?

have you tried whiching out the blank that you are trying to use? because i get the same error sometimes

Yeah, I tried a few different cds already.

possibly format them first. i've ran into that problem before and had to actually format them using the program that came on my computer. dont know if thats the same issue your having or not
