computer Upgrade time

alright so i just built a computer a few months back and well im not happy with is so basically its upgrade time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1st. i had 2 gigs of OCZ reaper ddr2 800 pc 6400. great! memory with super low timings for less than 80 bucks. basically i had a stick go bad so i purchased another 2 gig kit. so now im running 3 gigs. ill soon buy another 2 gig kit then sell the other stick or keep it as backup.

*sorry no pics for that yet*

2nd. i just recieved my AMD X2 6400!!!!!! black edition. and ANOTHER bfg 8800 gtx oc which ill be running SLI.

3rd. i now have installed a 150 gig WD Raptor to go along with my 74gig raptor which is running windows and the 150 is running my games.

4th. i have purchased a 1200w thermaltake powersupply with quad 12v rails. waiting for it. its in the mail!! wootzers!!!

cant wait for NOV 16th!!!! CRYSIS FTMFW!!!!!

eh can never have overkill. but u can always NOT HAVE ENOUGH. everything always gets better as the years go by. but if u have seen crysis i think ud understand fully

oh yah and i have the ABIT Fatal1ty AN9 32x Motherboard ftmfw as well!!!

yah i wasnt gonna wait for the 9 series yet. im gonna see how well they do first. then ill sell my 2 8800gtx oc's and then upgrade if the upgrade is worth it.

i actually think it broke because of my own stupidity...... other than that it worked flawlessly for about 3.5 years....the power cord frayed(i didnt notice) and i think i shorted it out on accident....never had the money nor time to have it checked out so i havent yet. inspiron 8500

i was an AMD fanboy for years, but the X2 is nothing compared to the C2D now!

and since you seem clueless, 99% of memory has a lifetime warranty(OCZ does), RMA it noob

yah but for $220 is what i paid for the 6400.... and i plan on oc'in it to at least 3.5ghz. im sure it will keep up if not out do the C2D processors that range in that price.

oh and i wasnt gonna change my motherboard cuz im a fanboy of the abit an9 fatal1ty mobo. great piece of overclocking machinery

FWIW, an AMD X2 6400+ @ 3.64ghz runs a 1M super pi at 23 seconds...my stock 2.4ghz e6600 runs it at 21 seconds
