I decided to hook up my laptop into my cheap bookshelf stereo in my room, and well it doesn't sound all that good. I was wondering if there is a equalizer program that can transform my audio in realtime? I'm going to try Blaze Audio WebEQ, but I'm not sure if that'll work for what I want.

That works for songs, and everything, but when I want to start recording, play/watch movies, or play games, WinAmp is worthless. Just like Windows Media Player.

it might not sound good because your using an intergrated audio card on a laptop with cheapo speakers.

how are you hooking the speakers up the the computer? what kind of cables?
