No, they cannot. The only way anyone could get your actual IP address would be to ask a judge for a warrant, and even then it would not be easy. Anyone telling you someone can trace your IP address back to your computer is full of shit...the closest router maybe for your ISP, but that is as close as they are going to get.

They can trace to the closest hub. Even that is unreliable though because it all depends on the ISP's routing tables for specific IP addresses.

Your router has a MAC address thats tied to your account with whoever your ISP is. The ISP assigns an IP block for specific areas and your allocated an IP address from that block. Once your assigned that IP address the length you have it varies depending on ISP. When you post, log in, and register any IP address you access CA from with that username is logged and tied to your account. When we ban a member its a ban on that IP address thats assigned to you.
