Setting up a docking station in my dads office. He's got a nice set of computer speakers here with a 3.5mm audio plug... the docking stations only accessory outs are USB. I'm trying to find a 3.5mm to USB adaptor wire.

I searched best buys website and didnt find anything. Is there anywhere we could go, or is there even an adaptor, to where we can run the speakers through the USB port on the docking station?

A local store would be preferred, dad is computer retarded, and im leaving for school tomorrow morning.

Two things here.

1)Do the speakers have built in amps (do they require power is a clue) or do they require external ampification? If they don't have power cords, then they will need an amplifier inbetween the converter and the speakers. A home stereo reciever works well.

2)What you need is not just an adaptor wire, but a digital to analog converter. If you want it to sound good you'll need to find something decent that probably costs more than $20.
