Alright, I have a custom computer that my dad basically made. Not sure on the mother board and all of that but we have XP. My dad downloaded all of these hotfixes to fix the problem's we already had. Now we have pop-ups and also when I go into hotmail and open up my emails from car audio a error comes up that says sorry for this inconveinience (?) internet explorer has an error. This has not occured until we had all of this adware and all sorts of stuff downloaded to our comp. Just wondering how to fix that and also I want a really good antivirus and antipop-up program that I could get from download.com. On the program I want one that has nice features and also doesn't slow internet times. Any suggestions will help.

Thanks for the help.

Not sure why your having errors with Hotmail. I'd download an adware/spyware program, Spybots probably one of the best out there right now. Run that and an anti-virus program, then try it again.

Googles toolbar doesn't let ANYTHING by it, and it's totally free, I haven't noticed any effect on performance either.

I own Pop-up Stopper PRO, and have yet to reinstall it since a fresh boot of XP Pro simply because Google toolbar has sufficed.

It's not a problem with hotmail, I think its a problem internet explorer has with XP. I have a cable modem so I just click on the internet explorer. When I get home I will download spybot and try to find some other anti-virus program if you all could recommend one.

Thanks

Norton is a good antivirus program, that and they have a good firewall too. Those cost money though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif . You can get an illegal copy off of kazaa that works. i did about 2 years ago, and still kept the file just in case i would need it later. though now my copy is legal sence i had to renew my subscription after a year.

Im gonna try later if you get on //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I need Norton antivirus. You have ad-aware 6.0 pro by chance?
