error code is 0x05001087

Symptoms :

The computer receives a stop error with error codes 0x05001086 and 0x05001087.

Cause :

Sanity checking of internal file structures results in an internal error.

Solution:

You must perform a recovery if this error occurs. To avoid the problem, upgrade to Pointsec PC 6.3.1 HFA2.

basicly what we told you in previous posts just in not so many words

 
i think its dead....its only been on for 10-15 minutes and its hot as balls

laptops always gets hot. bad fan placement //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif thats why harddrive useally go the heat gets to them.

no...i mean too hot to touch. It has never done that ever.

 
what type of computer is it? If its a dell, there is usually a diagnostic partition that allows you to run a diagnostic to make sure your hardware is functioning properly. If you do not have a diagnostic partition then your best bet is to take out your hard drive, put it in an external enclosure, and try and back up everything onto another computer if you can.

its a Dell Latitude D620...and how would i do that?
