Comps took a dump, need new suggestions

well im gonna have about $250 to work with, and sound deadener this summer when im working fulltime. the doors are weird, anyone with expirence in 2000 and up vw golf/gti can tell you.... the stock speakers basket it essentially connected to the cylinder like enclosure made for those woofer that goes about 8 inches back. ill try to load pictures tonight later. i think i might just need to create a new baffle for the speaker to sit onand sound deaden the hell out of it....

i like the sound of 6.5's and they will be running off my bridged 16mc3004 getting roughly 115w per side.

i havent even looked at prices on ebay yet but i was thinking of something along the lines of infinity perfects, JL xr's, dimond audio D6, ED, RE XXX6.5 (thatd be sick)alpine type x's, memphis mclass comps.........open for other suggestions....

how would xxx6.5s and other brand tweeters sound if i keep the crossovers from my old Diamond audio M361?

Probably horrible since the XXX6.5 is 2ohms and those crossovers were likely designed for 4ohm speakers.

I would look into the Memphis Msync 6.5" speakers, look into Rainbow's offerings in that price range, get ahold of Tplaya07 and ask him about DLS and OZ Audio speakers in that price range.

if you can come across a pair of used image dynamics chameleons they are great components. Somehow I found a pair of them for 150 shipped and I have never heard a better set.

that top pic is the DA woofer sealed into place with Great Stuff....little ghetto but it got the job done...
