Comps for $100

What are the best component speakers I can buy for around $100? Although if I need to spend more for a much better product, I'd be willing to do that. I have a 200wrms amp to power them.

Thats you best bet. The favorite lowend components around here are CDT CL-61s and RE's component set. Those 2 will run you about $150-$170.I've heard both and was amazed for their price tags.

Is there any big advantage of having a 3-way component set over a 2-way? Is it worth the extra expense?

In a 3way setup, you have a dedicated midrange driver so the crossover point isn't right in the middle of the midrange(like most 2ways). Whether it is worth the extra expense is entirely up to your ears. Look around your area and find a coupla shops that have some component sets and see what you like. If they have equivalent sets made by the same company check those out and see if you can tell a difference in 2 and 3 way setups. I believe Focal has a few sets that are similar like that.
