Componets crackling

I redid my install and everything is working fine except for my passenger side tweeter. Every time there is any voice i hear a crackling sound. I adjusted my gains and i am still getting this. I was having the problem on the other side and adjstd the gains and it is fine now. I did not use my cross overs that i got...could this be the problem?

Did you use any crossovers at all on the tweets? Like the ones on the deck or the amp?

just the factory crossover. I just removed the old tweeter and put the new one in its place. Should i set up the new crossover??
