Components

I know u are gonna think Im stupid now, but oh well, I want to know......
What are components? Do they consist of tweeters and midrange or wut?

And if that is correct, wut is wrong with 2 way, 3 way, 4 way ect.. speakers?
Well any normal person would say search, but since i asked the same question back in the day, Ill be a nice guy. Heres my answer. Components consist of: (2)midrange's (usually 6.5" or 5.25"), (2) Tweeters, and (2) crossovers. 1 midrange, and 1 tweeter connect to a crossover, as the other mid and tweet connect to the other crossover. You then run the crossover to a amplifier, and bam, you got a component set. Althought i have yet to buy a component set, i am buying the Koda 6.1 component set while its on sale (225 is a steal //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif ). A 2way speaker system would generally include say, a 6.5"mid, and a 1" tweeter, while a 3way speaker system would include the same, but with an extra 4"mid for example. 4 way would juss mean 4 speakers instead of 3. Hope this Helps. PEACE

Thanks for that info,

so wut is the advantages of a component set over multi-way speakers? Think of it like this, what is wrong with getting a a pair of 4X6 3 way speakers? Why would you go and get 2 mids, 2 tweets, and 2 crossovers?
