Need a good set of components on the cheap. less then $100 have to be able to play loud and clear. Good midbass and tweets.

RSDs of course 1st on my list but though id throw in a couple others. -$60

whats your question? I need a comp set too
whats the best comp set for the money under or **** close to $100.

what about i been reading a couple posts people blowing the tweets out of the RSDs just a bad batch or weak tweet?

I have heard and owned all those comps besided hifonics.

The RSD have poor midbass, power handling and the tweeters are harsh

The Pioneers sounded nice, but the Cdt's sounded the best to me and had the most power handling.

I would say go with the CDT's because they are very nice speakers but the RSD's are very good for the price too. They can take quite a bit more power than the 60 rms reccommended, and they sound very clear if you set the crossovers correctly.

If you are looking to spend less than $100, go with the CDT's, but remember that you really cannot go wrong for $60 with the RSD's. They will impress you.

the cl 60 cdt are a bit undetailed and did not sound that well IMO. i recently had a chance to listen to the Pioneer d series comps and was honestly very suprised at how well they sound and would defintly say the pioneers sounded much better then the cdts. And for hoodlum to say the rsd have no midbass you are doing somthing wrong. the rsd's had some darn good snap to them considering their price. just my 02

i have heard the pioneers and really liked them. very clear and smooth sounding in my opinion and the tweeter is over an inch in size and hits all the high notes with ease i think. they will probly be my next set

im replacing a set of JBL p650c's so as long as any of these would be an upgrade would be nice. the JBls have no midbass and the tweets are alittle harsh but very detailed.
