high pass. since i saw in your sig it's 5.25 i'll say 100 hz. might be able to get away with 80 hz. just start slowing turning it down from 100 untill you hear distortion and then bring it back up a little

900 posts and this is a question? with no very important information none the less. ported or sealed subs? looking at your profile, you are gonna have a difficult time with the 70-90hz range with thsoe speakers, your subs especially if ported will most likely have a ***** of a tiem playing 90 very accurately as well.

what he is trying to say is that those comps will struggle playing below 90 hz. and your subs will struggle playing above 70 hz. so you will have a 20 hz. gap in your music. most people who run 6.5's set the frequency at 80 hz. on the comps high pass, and 80 hz. low pass on the sub.

x-over points are no where near universal. They are based entirely off of your speakers, install, and car.

i see, some mid bass speakers be able to fill that void? i was thinking of buying some kicker midbass speakers.

Yeah they should, even normal speakers would work, but they need to be able to play lower, 6x9's would get the job done as well as 6.5's.

Having an underlap isn't necessarily a bad thing either. As said, it all depends on the car/equipment/install/slopes etc etc. However, it can be a bad thing. It all depends.

would 6.5 midbass or comps fit in my 6x9 slots in the back? if so i would consider that cause it would be easy to do. i could pick up a set of 6.5 alpine type rs and put them in the back.

they sure will/ you get an adapter at crutchfield or make one out of mdf.

I wouldn't put them in the rear. Just go ahead and get everything up and running with the xover that sounds best and see what you think.

i have it all up and running it sounds fine to me except maybe a lack of midbass upfront but i cant tell with my subs on just off.
