Complex wiring help

Hi,

I would really like some help with a wiring problem I have.

I want to run a set of component speakers in the front of my car from the onboard amplifier in my head unit with a green light representing that, I also want to run them off an amplifier with a separate red light showing.

I want this to be controlled by a switch or two.

I also would really like to know if I should run them in serries or paralell and how I would go about doing this.

In my sedan at the moment Im planning on using an Alpine 16x4 head unit (I think you can turn the amp off directly from the H/U [from reading the review on this site])

And Pioneer 6" splits 50 Wrms I think.

Probably an older Alpine 4ch amp (30 to 40 Wrms ish...) with a 10" sub.

4" Pioneer co-axials 50 Wrms I think(in the back doors).

I am open to advice of any kind and would be intensely interested in reccomendations to me about anything to do with my plan!!!

Thanks alot!

Maybe I should just run them off the head unit and get a 2 chanel amplifier just for the sub. I just want them loud enough to listen to in the car.

I was reccomended to use rca splitters if I wanted more than one amp but it dosent sound like a good idea.

Thanks

I don't understand what you are saying. You want to run your components on the HU amp as well as a separate amp? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif If that is so why on earth would you want to even want to do that for? 40 watts to a 10 inch sub? What sub will that be because that isn't enough for any sub i can think of.

Why get a 2 channel amp for your sub? You do know there are single channel amps for subs right?

RCA splitters for what? What Alpine HU you have? Chances are that there is more than 1 pair of RCA outputs on the HU

Lastly i don't know why you want a green or a red light to represent what you are trying to do.

I want to do it so I can listen to all 4 speakers without the amp going to save power when i'm not driving.

40 watts bridged for a 10 inch sub, so hopefully that would be arround 100 watts taking into account alpines under rated power.

I'd get a 2 channel amp because all the mono amps I have available are too expensive and I dont need it to go that loud.

Im getting the CDE-9843 and there is only one 2v per-out.

I want the lights partly for their novelty value and partly to see which source i'm using for the front speakers without looking at the switches (theyll be hard to see at night).

Thanks

WOAH!

What was I thinking?

I'll just go mainstream and get front splits, turn off my rear speakers, get a sub and run it all off a 4 channel amp.

Are the pioneer cheap 2007 splits any good for what i want?
