not worth the money unless you have just a bunch of extra cash. save yourself a couple hundred dollars and make it outta mdf and paint it glossy, it'll look nice and cost you a fraction of the price.

X 2 . Only thing gained with plexi is a pretty cool enclosure. It is a little stronger than mdf. But you won't hear any difference with both constructed properly. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ok i think that i might do this thing... the window that is.... but i kinda wanna make the entire front out of the plexi glass...... so what problems would i run into mounting a perty heavy type-r sub in nothing but plastic? would i need to get like like little threads of metal and put them in the glass? i dont see a sub staying in there good unless i put it in there and LEAVE it it seems to me once i take it out that i might not be able to use the same hole again..... any thoughts?

the question isnt whether the plexi can take the weight of the sub.... its is there any special way to prepare the holes... so i dont A) crack the shit B)if i take a sub out (for whatever reason) i want to be able to use the same holes cuz i dont know if i see that hapnin with plexi....

DON"T USE REGULAR PAN HEAD SCREWS TO MOUNT THE DRiVER Sorry for the caps, but I want to get the point across. You need to use nuts and bolts to attach the sub to the plexi baffle. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sweet ill try this now the only thing is that i have to make the inside of the box prettier lol ..... im gonna go check on prices fo a 14X32 sheet of this stuff.....

Is the plexi panel gonna be that big ??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif A panel that large is gonna need to be rather thick, or it's gonna flex like a beeyatch. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well ya that is jus the dimension for the front of my box..... i guess what i didnt think about is that i should do the center divider in plexi too or else it just may look like shit...... ok and u mentioned that i would need to use nuts and bolts..... and im not sure if i wanna do this if im gonna have to remove the top of my box to mount my subs... or maybe i can drill the hole pattern and glue the nuts to the back of the hole on the inside! ooooo that might work!.....wouldnt it im kinda looking for alternatives to taking the top of my box off to mount a sub.....
