I want to try some of that stuff sometime. Ive known about it. I have a bunch of other things I need to burn through first that I already own. The stuff in the picture is less than half of all that I have. Most of it wouldnt put on my Altima though. Bought it back when I was dumb (armorall ftl). I'll use it all up eventually, just not on my car hahaha.

haha yea save it for somebody elses car

also check out the porter cable mini polisher/buffer(variable speed) if you havent yet, those are awesome!! saves alot of time, and less stress on your hand.

Can't wait until Spring. I have a long detail ahead of me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I have to take my car to the wash ever 2-3 days now, because I don't want all that salt on my car! Stupid winter time.

Very clean car, and I like those rims, but a 30-40% would look nice on it.

I just about died trying to use SwirlX. And I didnt even do a good job. I still have swirls. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Either I didnt put in enough effort or I need a more abrasive product.

How much do the PC's go for? Have any recommendations?

The higher percentage the darker it is? What does it usually cost?

id say prob a little more abrasive product, something like poorboys ssr1 or ssr2. then i would go over it with polish with carnauba, then go over it again with wax.

i forget what model my porter cable is, maybe the 7424? price is somewhere around 150 i think

The local car audio shop does it for around $220 for a 4 door car, around here. Parts, Labor, and limited lifetime warranty on the product. There's a professional tinting company (That's all the company does is tint, commercial buildings, cars, homes, ect. ect.) that does it for about $350, but they're supposed to use some of the best tint around.

Thanks for the responses guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And no, I dont have a buffer. I would like to try one sometime, but its all done by hand right now.

Today I was driving behind some guy and he decided to use his window washers while on the freeway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif Luckily it barely got my car. Used my detail spray to remove the spots and a little dirt.

Is it possible to have a bad tint job? There are some audio shops around that do it but I dont know if I would trust them. This isnt something I would want to attempt myself is it?

i go to a pro tinting shop in michigan, all they do is tint. Supposed to be 210 for my explorer all the way around, front two, back two, 3rd row 2, rear window. I worked em down to 170. 5% and they did a really good job.

Its mainly just charging you for the labor, tints so cheap...

and no, its soooo hard for your first time to tint, going to take you plenty of tries to get it right

Alright. Well, I'll need to some income coming first (no job currently). But this is something I would like to get done sometime. Nothing too dark, 30-40%?

I did a google search and found several places that only do tint.
