entered my first competition today. event was the Import face Off in Gainesville Fl. sound off event was held by USACI. class i was entered into was modified 2001-4000. first run was 150.4 @ 49hz, windows up doors shut mic at the floor. after a little tuning and tweaking second run was 151.3 @ 49hz drive side door open with mic @ floor. although there wasnt much competition there i still think it was pretty good for a system in the works, it by no means is nowhere near done. closest score to me was a truck in modified 4000 that was doing a 150.7 windows down( which i hear is extremely low for his class). next he did 158 in port so i guess he technically has overall db's. i guess i didnt do that bad for a first timer:crap:

very nice , do you have any numbers on the dash
before the competition at the shop just to see where it was on the meter we did a few sweeps to find our peak hz ...with mic at dash peak was 149.0 @ 49hz and we left it at that. once we made a few adjustments @ the show we know were sitting @ 151's now. we havent really wanted to push the two 18'' BL's yet. right now there being powered by a powerbass xa 4000d and gain is only about a quarter ways up. so right now were looking into possibly upgrading to some BTL's so we can get that powerbass amp going good

Man forgot about that show.. I wanted to go.. How was the matches.. lol
everything was badass in general. there was some good import races, the hot body contest sucked pretty bad. the girls looked like hillbillys finest. the audio show in general was alright. some nice cars and systems. then again some really shitty cars and great systems..nice cars and terrible systems:laugh: some group called team CTA Audio from iverness florida brought up about 6 cars and tried to take every class in the audio show. they do some nice custom body work but there audio systems are very mediocre, at best. there loudest vehicle was there suv that won the port wars(wooptie doo)! 158.0. i believe he had four 15'' mojos. but on sweeps the best he could do was 150.7, then after that i did the 151.3. the rest of the cars they had were doing low 140.'s....in general it was a very nice show sucks you missed it!
