Competition: Difference between Legal/Outlaw

Im not a competitor, but i believe in Outlaw you can have people push on your car as in doors and trunklids, and you can also open and slam your doors, but Dont hold me too it

What would that do to affect SPL?

IIRC, for a car to be legal, most of it has to be stock. Stuff like the totally unflexing bullet proof glass windows, aftermarket seats, trunk lid, etc, would classify the vehicle as outlaw.

That might be included in outlaw too. But from where im from....we mostly only have USACi Outlaw SPL. Suposidly whenever you slam the door the pressure will build as the air is forced into the car.....But i think it is bullSh!t cause its cheating. But like i said im just going on what ive see at comps, and read on the net.

no .. Legal is all when you place the mic/sensor is placed on the windsheild w/ all opening (doors and windows) closed or shut... Outlaw, mic is placed in floorboard and your allowed to open and roll down windows....

USACi outlaw would be mic under the dash "kick", some "outlaw" competitions allow the mic anywhere in the car.

on the dash everything closed is termed "legal".

Just a different way of doing things, a setup thats louder on the dash doesn't mean it will be louder in the kick, and vica versa.
