Why the **** would you throw 1500rms at a btl?

sorry, that deals come up every once in a while where some one with a 9500 wants to sell for under 400, but its not the case normally, especially if it has composite or cf, and gs are nice ive heard them.

For the watts and the price your looking at, 3515 is perfect. I don't care if you buy mine.

And the hollow sound is from the high tuned box.

You know why DD has so many used subs, cus they last for ever. They are well built and I would stand by DD before FI.

But its not my car, its not my money, I don't see why people start wars over brands... Every speaker has a different application and different style, and on top of that the install makes a difference by a big margin, throw a FI in a perfect box and throw a dd in a ****ing rectangle with shitting cut wood and yea the FI will sound better.

SO its really up to your friend. I only suggest DD cus i loved mine. I like the way it hit and how it handled. And if no one else liked them they would be viewed like eD or other companies that just dont work out...

Im also sure you could get some Kicker or Jl subs I hear they get pretty loud.... Hell a w7 is the best sub ever... *rolls eyes

Why not a used RE XXX they where the shit a year ago what happened to that? Im sure a first gen used isn't bad. Or a SI MAG 15 plenty on the forums for under 300.

Its all preference + install.

Shit there are people who say CVX or what ever from kicker is like an amazing sub. I dont think so.

SI Mags and use XXX's are still hard to find under 300. You just named two of the subs that tend to hold their value the best. Im confident I could sell both of mine for closer to 400.

Box tuned too high would be my guess. I've tried RL-P's and my HD's in higher tuned boxes and that's exactly how they sounded to me...hollow and lacking impact. Each time dropping the tuning down helped a TON...

Impact is the only thing they did have. Impact was awesome, sound was not. Tuning the 1508 low woulda just dropped the output, which is what they are known for. So they just didn't fit what I was lookin for so decided to offload them.
