..........SWING! AND A HIT!
my 3515 is an E and all the 05s ive spent time with are g's so... Thats where that came from, im sure you can buy one for cheaper but i would go with my 3515 for 350... its a good deal.
So you were talking about used vs new prices earlier? Or are you suggesting you cannot buy a btl used for 350 or less?lol, just got one in the mail two days ago. look in classifieds he has another one smartass *****\

Odd thats the same problem I had with the sound of my 1508's. Hard to describe the sound, hollow is about as close as it gets.Ive heard 3515s and hated the way they sounded. Wasnt distortion or anything like that, I just think that they kind of have a weird tone imo. Sounds sort of hollow to me. They were loud, but not BTL loud.
A more fair comparison would be the BTL and DD 9515, but the 9515 is out of your price range.
The BTL is very popular, and it is for a reason. For the price of a single woofer, you cant beat it.
i got mines for under 300 shipped with 8inch cf dustcaps.9500 15, for under 400 lol.
and ridiculously overhyped which is why most competitors are still using their e/f serieshes probably talking about the G series, which are rediculously priced
Box tuned too high would be my guess. I've tried RL-P's and my HD's in higher tuned boxes and that's exactly how they sounded to me...hollow and lacking impact. Each time dropping the tuning down helped a TON...Odd thats the same problem I had with the sound of my 1508's. Hard to describe the sound, hollow is about as close as it gets.
