colossus or orion 2500d?

I'd take the XX Colossus II over the Orion 2500d ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. The XX line from Hifonics is GREAT. Esepcially the re-designed Colossus II. My 2500d sucked ***, why the hell do you think you see about FIVE MILLION refurbs online?

Refurbs ? B/c people are stupid and think they can run a 2500D in a stock crx or metro lol . The new colossus is a awesome amp I'll give it that but for price comparison since I'm not on team maxxsonics heh. I'll give the win over to orion plus I'm told they can take much lower impedance's for burps and run better off 16v . Thats competition wise though street beating is all in the application personally I just ordered a 2500D and if I cant get loud enough with that for my self somethin is wrong lol

both are good straight up though (barring rules in classes during comp) the colosus pwns the 2500d 1 on 1 same set up without a worried fuse rating. xx amps arent the entry level hifonics

Yeah man I know what you are saying for sure. Although just a bit of back ground info just incase anyone cares. I'm actually doing a 6 month teaching contract in South Korea right now and wont be back until Feb. So I figured doing the research will give me something to do. Cost of living down here is mad cheap so I am trying to save up some money and do it right the first time.

But thanks so much for your replies. This forum is definitely the better of forums that I have visited.

By the way I know my setup isnt going to be the greatest but its going in a Jeep TJ. I have a soft top on her for 80% of the year and only during the cold winter months do I get off my a$% and put on the hardtop. Thats why I need something that will be bumpin because i'm going to lose lots of bass in the open concept of the jeep.

Providing that I remove the rear seats for good does anyone know if I can fit two 15 in the back of a Jeep TJ with a ported box?

I've read a few things with people have issues with reliability with the Colossus. I'm having a hard time finding someone who is unhappy with their orien. Power is great and all but I want something that is goint to last for street abuse. I want the thing to be working for day in and day out.

Can anyone confirm what will fit in the back of a Jeep TJ with a ported box?
