colossus okay with just HO alt?

my colossus will be here friday and i'm going to order a 240 amp iraggi alt. but will i be okay with the alt with stock battery? big three will be done. also whats the point of adding another battery if the alt will supply all the current needed?

Assuming the amp was 100% efficient, running it at full tilt would leave you with a whole 32A to run your car. That's also assuming that the alt is turning fast enough to make max power. Since neither scenario is going to happen the alt won't be enough to get full power out of the amp. A battery or two is in your future if you want to do it right.
