Color of taillights

Quick question..is it legal to have blue taillights instead of red? I want to do my truck in a white and blue. However the red lights just freakkin' ruin it. you can paint them blue and white, but they still have to be red when you stop.

Do an led bar along the bumper or something.

they have to light up red......you could paint the tail lights white and make sure plenty of red light shows through......

If you're really ambitious just shave the tail lights and put in some LED strips. They'll just be slits in your tail gate, then red when lit up.
