College

That sucks. I was going to be in engineering, but I don't know if I want to any more. I was going to do computer science, but I really didn't like that course. So, I'm undecided for now.
My room-mate last year was doing the same thing. He didn't like the engineering part and switched to straight computer science. He doesnt like that either so he is switching to psych.

I started out taking computer science for an engineering degree and was like wtf... it wasn't hard necessarily it just wasn't what I wanted to do so I switched to business. less than a year left for my masters (MBA) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif
My room mate said it computer science is very simple to him, it is just super boring.

That's the problem I was having. Class was so boring that I literally couldn't make myself pay attention (yes ADD) and I would never know what to do in lab. But I didn't really like the whole programming part.

Ya we jumped straight into C++ programming on Linux. Never done that ish before so I wound up dropping that class.
Your going to have that a lot, that's what college is for, learning. If you drop every class that have no experience in, your not going to get very far. I'm studying Electrical Engineering and just learning some C++ on the side for fun, it's not that difficult. The pitfall that most freshmen fall prey to is underestimating themselves. You get in there and get overwhelmed because you don't immediately understand everything that's presented to you, and you don't want to do the work outside the classroom to learn the material, so you just drop the class. It doesn't work, you won't make it with that attitude, trust me, I've been down that road. It just wastes time and money. Put your big boy pants on and do the work.

It's not that I couldn't do it, I didn't enjoy doing it. Let me put it this way: I would've failed that class if I hadn't dropped it. My attention span is horrible //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Then why did you start in Computer Science? It's 90% programming...

I thought it might have been fun....guess I was wrong lol. No big deal though, I got everything worked out.
Well you would still be wise to read what I said again and let it sink in. Even if that wasn't the case this time, it's still good advice.

I know. I'm in Calculus now, it's a little harder than I though it was going to be, but I'm still with that. I didn't drop that class because it's a class I'll actually need if I decide to go with any engineering at all.

Anyways, now you see why college makes me want to drink. To much stress. I get stressed too easily //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
