How hard is it to transfer in-state from a community college to a 4 year university?
Specifically UNC Charlotte (which has a 76% acceptance rate & accepted 3400 of 4100 applications for transfer students in the Fall of '09)
from uncc.edu............
Before applying for transfer admission to UNC Charlotte, please review the following admissions requirements:
Requirements
[*]24 transferable semester hours from a regionally accredited institution. If you have less than 24 transferable hours you must meet freshman high school GPA and SAT/ACT requirements for admission.
[*]2.0 cumulative college GPA for all courses as calculated by the UNC Charlotte Undergraduate Admissions Office.
[*]Student must be in good standing and eligible to return to the last school attended.
............
1. I was homeschooled my 9-12 grade years (graduated in '07), & I have all the required high school classes, as well as a 3.27 final GPA for hs & SAT score of 1490 (May '06, not sure what the scale was then)
2. will not have 24 credits, just the 12 that I'm taking this semester & my hs GPA was 3.27 & SAT of 1490.
3. 2.0 is the minimum, I'll have atleast a 3.0
4. yupp
.....will I have any trouble transferring to UNC Charlotte?
I have little to no desire in going anywhere else. UNCC is a pretty easy school to get into, I'm just bored @ work & curious as to whether or not I should waste my money on an application.
I currently have a 1.2 college GPA //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif....from dropping out of an english class in hs, but I'm at the same school & retaking that same english, as well as pre calculus & a few electives....if I make A's, which I will, my GPA will be around 3.1-3.2
...also, should I apply now, wait until mid-term to show that my grades from this semester are A's, or wait until theend of the semester so my GPA is over 3.0?
