College Dorm Wireless Security System

Ok first of all, housing said if we could get the money it would be fine... the building has security cameras in it already just not there. So that comment is erroneous... secondly i drink a lot actually but i go out to drink. Thirdly the freshman here run around the halls drinking and tearing all the new furniture apart and starting fights and shit and WE have to deal with it at 4 in the morning. Why cant they just get drunk at a party or apartment. I don't care if theyre quiet i never bust people who are quiet its these drunk assholes who are the problem. Wow just delete this thread lol.

If you can get the money, and get APPROVAL for it, then you need to do what you have to do.

Welllll I'm sorry for upsetting all of you lol =P I get free room and board for what i do sooo i make it count ha and plus its fun when you make dumb freshman pour out a whole keg of beer and mad battles of alcohol... it looks like they wanna kill themselves... anyway i found a solution so thanks for nothin lol =D

Alright...I Kind of see that. Im not one for getting stupid drunk every Friday and saturday night in the dorm. There's better places to do so. Plus it's annoying as hell to the people smoking up. You start to get paranoid that a bunch of drunken idiots are going to get you in trouble with them.

I need some help here. I work in a freshman residence dorm (Dry dorm - no alcohol allowed) and me and my staff wanted to put in a wireless security system so that we could monitor these incompetent freshman better. The problem is that they sneak up alcohol and guests who trash the building through the basement. Then they usually bypass the first floor in the elevator and go straight up to whatever floor they are on. Sooo, I would like to install a small camera in the basement pointed at the door and a monitor (can be small) that could be on the first floor. There is no way to wire it because housing won't fund the project. Is there any sort of wireless system that is relatively cheap and easy to set up? Please help if you can, thanks!!

its actually designed for babies, but here is basicly what your looking for. can be found online at babies r us or u can go to the electronics section of your local walmart, they actually have security systesm w/ a monitor and camera, i believe some are wireless

i dunno bout you guys but after like the third week the drunk assholes worked themselves out of the dorm
