i learned about them in EMT. my good friend at the firehouse also happened to have one. they seem t0 occur more often to skinnier males. medium to tall in height. i bet it felt like you were having a heart attack (in theory)...glad you're doing better.

Thats honestly what we do in the army, needle decompression. Scariest thing ive ever seen in my life. They take a huge 14 gauge needle thats like 6 inches long and jam it between your 2nd and 3rd rib. They then pull the neddle out and leave a catheter in you to let air escape. It kinda reminds me when that girl gets stabbed in pulp fiction when shes oding. Anyways bust of luck to you man anytime you get cut open sucks specially with no insurance.
