my dad last night went too the hospital and this morning my mom told me that my dad has a collapsed lung, 50% on one and 30% working on the other....Not too good, having a chest tube put in is pretty excruciating in itself...
What happened?
i dont know yet i have to be at work im going to try to get the day off now but im sure they havent reinflated it yet... waiting from my mom to call me more about it, since the doctor will be in at 10amthis is after reinflating? thats not good because that means there was some damage caused by the collapsing. Hopefully it is temporary damage
sorry to hear about ur dad!...he will be in my prayers tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifi dont know yet i have to be at work im going to try to get the day off now but im sure they havent reinflated it yet... waiting from my mom to call me more about it, since the doctor will be in at 10am
Im sure they did, every minute it is collapsed more damage is done to it. when your lung collapses cells start to die the longer it is collapsed the more cells die. when they chest tube ya it pulls the fluid out allowing the lungs to reinflate. however damaged tissue wont reinflate and needs to regenerate.i dont know yet i have to be at work im going to try to get the day off now but im sure they havent reinflated it yet... waiting from my mom to call me more about it, since the doctor will be in at 10am
is htat the shit where you basically have hte feeling you are having a heart attack for like a week?i thought i collapsed a lung one time... it was costochondritis... apparently it feels JUST like collapsing a lung, depending on where on your chest wall it is... fortunately that ish went away after a week...
