Cold Weather keeps amp cool

I spent 8 hours drive from Georgia to Virginia yesterday. My amp didn't shut off once. I have a kicker ix-702 bridged to a lightning audio 12" in a sealed box. Temperature display indicated 50-57 degrees the whole time I was driving. The cold weather kept the amp cool the entire night. Is it possible to keep it cool during the hot months without a fan?

my amps don't seem to get hot, but then again I have yet to take a road trip where the system has been on for several hours at a time. But my old HiFonics BX1000D never got hot, and it barely ever got warm.

depends on hot hard you run it, if it clips at all (causes alot of heat in the amp), and how well the map is ventiliated.

hot summer sun leave my amps already warm almost downright hot when i get to the car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

but my kx is a beast and can take it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I deliver Pizzas and my stero is usually on for a few hours at a time.

My Cadence amp gets hot to the touch but never has shut-off and I've never smelt anything, either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif:veryhapp://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
